Nine of the Cutest Casual Spring Sneakers for Women in 2022

Do you think life is too short to wear ugly shoes? And life is definitely too short to wear uncomfortable shoes. Luckily, today we have options and I’ve picked nine cute, casual spring sneakers for women to get us started.

If you’re like me, you love a cute and comfortable shoe combination and I think sneakers are the way to go. Whether you’re wearing them with dresses, shorts, or pants, there’s a sneaker for that and this season there are TONS of cute spring sneakers to keep our feet and fashion sense happy.

But first, let’s clear one thing up, do you say “sneakers” or “tennis shoes” (actually more like, “tena-shoes”) or maybe “trainers“?

NEUTRAL NOT BORING

I tend to like neutral colors when it comes to shoes (especially white sneakers) and will be sharing mostly neutrals with you today.

Keep in mind, the more neutral the sneaker the more versatile it is, especially when it comes to wearing them with pants and skirts.

Want to know what the BEST COLOR SHOES for you are? I tell you here!

But, I recently styled these Wiley sneakers for a campaign with Vionic Shoes in this bright turquoise shade called Wasabi and I can see how adding a pop of color to a neutral outfit could make some shoe-lovers really happy. I’ve included them in my sneaker round-up in white also because I love the small platform and the arch support they offer. So comfortable even without an insert. (Note: the white is a slightly gray tint.)

Speaking of inserts, I have a couple of foot issues, and even when I buy comfortable and supportive shoes, I have to add my custom orthotics to most of my sneakers. I have two over-the-counter brands that I use as well (depending on the shoe) and will share those with you in another post.

But right now, let’s cut to the chase because so I’m excited to share these with you. And let’s be honest, I’m going to order a couple of pairs too. 😉

All these sneakers range from $40 to $130, so nothing ridiculously expensive.

I own number one and will soon own number nine but I have also ordered number three to try as a cross-over sneaker – one that can be a casual sneaker but that I could also wear on a walk. You know, to pair down shoes for traveling. I’m telling my husband that it’s really a “practical purchase”. HA!

That being said, I’d also love to have number eight if money and closet space were not an issue. Oh, and maybe number two as well.

So now you know…

I’m Paula and I have a sneaker addiction. 😉

I may also have a thing for booties too, or at least strong opinions about them – check out this post.

Which are your faves?

Oh yes, I forgot about “tennies”. I think my brother even said, “tenners”. 🤣

      The struggle is REAL! 😕

  3. Hahaha! I used to call them tennis shoes, but everyone looked at me like I was nuts! So, now I call them sneakers! Honestly, I am not that big into them. I think it’s because they make me feel like I need to be exercising! Or, maybe it’s that year I had to wear Brooks orthotic shoes before finally having foot surgery! I do like my Sofft slip ons which feel more like a shoe than a sneaker!

Can’t wait to see your updates on the one or two or seven pairs of sneakers!

I think #1 is really cute. My dilemma is that I only normally wear New Balance shoes, due to back and knee issues. I feel like I can never wear cute shoes.

I think number 8 is New Balance abs they are ADORABLE!

I also like the look of the the New Balance 327 and those are darling too.

Brooks is another brand that is a very supportive shoe with some fashion-forward styles.

I say sneakers. But I have separate “workout” shoes that only go to the gym.
I prefer mine with minimal or not print for my sneakers.
That way they go with everything.
Have you seen the Golden Goose with the star on the side….they cost hundreds of dollars?

We are alike in our sneaker “simplicity” Sue. And yes, I’ve seen those Golden Goose ones. They would have to make my feet feel AMAZING for that price… and I doubt they would. 😏

Ahh, yes! We watch a lot of British crime shows and they say “trainers”.

Definitely in the “tena-shoe” camp here. 😁 And I, too, have a shoe addiction. It’s not limited to tennis shoes 👟 👠 👟

Mine isn’t either… but I’m trying to pair down a bit even though you’d never know it by this post. 🤣

Hi Paula! Have you seen the Vionic beach sneakers yet? They are adorable slip ons with cute pattern and colors. They don’t have a thick sole, but are so comfortable to slip on for errands or around the house. They are a great price too!

Yes I have. I styled a couple of different variations of them last summer.

I LOVE the fabric uppers and the gentle support however if it’s an all day on my feet situation, I need a little more support.

      Hugs,
      Paula

I have been on a quest for a neutral tennis shoe with the gum sole for weeks. I recently ordered a New Balance pair from DSW and am anxiously awaiting their arrival. (So much so, I have checked my front porch multiple times today.)
I MIGHT have a bit of a shoe addiction since one of my closets look a bit like a shoe store and another closet is nearly as bad.)
By the way. I call running type shoes like #1,#2,# 3 etc., tennis shoes and styles like #4 and #9, sneakers and I don’t know why.
