Round Two: Reviews, Repeats & Returns
and the holiday SEPHORA sale event
Sephora is having a big ol’ sale, and that’s always a good opportunity to stock up on some of my favorite products. They don’t do this often but will be offering up to 20% off products that don’t typically go on sale. They don’t give us a heads up on what exactly those products will be, but today I’m busting out another edition of Reviews, Repeats, and Returns just in case any of my tried-and-true lotions and potions are included, as well as few gift ideas for the beauty lover on your gift list.
Back in April, I said I was starting a series call Reviews, Repeats and Returns to share product reviews and loves. Can it really be called a series when it’s been seven months between posts? I’m really failing as a blogger. But, I’m back just in time for a Sephora’s big sale. I’ve also gone back and updated my last post too. Because I still repeat-buy all those products too. Check it out here.
You will currently find all of these things in my bathroom. I have not been provided with any products for review; I just LOVE them. However, this post contains affiliate links, and I will earn a commission if you purchase through these links. Thanks for your support.
Beauty Product Repeats
One: Benefit Porefessional Primer
This primer is obviously marketed to minimize the look of pores. I’m not sure it does that ultimately, but it has a great “slip” to it and the slightest tint. It gives a blur effect to the skin before ever applying foundation.
Two: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Pencil
These are sheer balm-like lipsticks in a chubby pencil form. They twist up so require no sharpening – Hallelujah! I love the color Fuller Fig which I like to say is a “rusty-pink” color. I guess I know why no brands are hiring me to write descriptions for them.
Three: Olaplex Hair Treatment, Shampoo, and Conditioner
The in-salon Olaplex system is a three-step process and includes a patented active ingredient that works on a molecular level to seek out broken bonds in the hair that are caused by chemical, thermal, and mechanical damage. Olaplex is used to restore compromised hair during both color services or as a stand-alone treatment.
While Olaplex has sold step No. 3 as an at home treatment for some time now, they have most recently added the shampoo and conditioner to their after-care line. Since my hair has been much damaged in the highlighting process to blend my roots as I grow out my gray, these sulfate-free protection products have been a lifesaver.
Four: Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant
I LOVE this deodorant even though it costs $27 for one tube. Yeah, I know! Crazy! But it works like no other antiperspirant I’ve tried, and it smells terrific. You know how I don’t like to smell stinky! It’s pretty dense which makes it lasts a long time as well as leaves no deodorant balls under your arms. You know the ones! I buy about two of these a year.
Five: Becca Beach Tint Lip and Cheek Stain
I love this little tube of color goodness. Watermelon is my color of choice and is described as bright pink. I think it looks more like a bright rose and would look good on almost anyone. A little goes a LONG way. I primarily use it on my cheeks but have used it as a lip stain as well.
We’re talking back to back Becca products. I tried this primer in a sample size and really liked it, so I bought a bottle. I only wish it came in a smaller size because I use it sparingly and it’s a good sized bottle.
The Becca Backlight Filter Primer does exactly what it sounds like it does as a primer. It gives a lit from within quality underneath makeup. I only use it where I would use a highlighter and only on special occasions. I have also applied it as a highlighter on top of my makeup. It’s not sparkly, and it’s not exactly a shimmer either. I’d call it ANGELIC!
Gift Set Ideas from Sephora
Now is the season of the “gift set” and limited edition beauty and fragrance promotions. There are lots of good options out there that range in price from perfect to CRAZY. This a great time to buy gifts or try something new to you because of the promotional pricing. This is how I have found some of my best products. Here are a few I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on.
Fresh Sugar, Destination Sugar
Nars Orgasm Infatuation Palette
Drybar, Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush
Moroccan Oil, Ultimate Moisture Favorites
What’s On Your Favorite Beauty Products List?
I hope you’ve found something you like and will become one of your repeat-buy beauty products. Do you already use and love any of these? Or do you have something you buy OVER and OVER again no matter how many other products you have tried?
Be cute, be cozy and be getting ready for Christmas 😉

I love sephora brand lipsticks!
You just reminded me I had a chubby stick, gotta find it now. Enjoy November. . .
I always love trying out new products, maybe because I’m still looking for the holy grail…especially primers and foundation…

You know I love that pit cream!

I know. I think you turned me on to it. Or was it Corrine?
I love the product reviews! It can be overwheling to make choices when there are so many products oit there and they aren’t necessarily cheap. One of my main go to product(s) is Matrix Biolage Hydra Source Shampoo and Conditioning Balm. It’s great for dry hair. Especially for those who shampoo daily.

I think I’ve used the Conditioning Balm before. Unless this is a new formulation? It’s been a while since I’ve used Biolage.
Love product reviews! I’ve been thinking of starting to do a few myself actually. xo
